MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II- MARYLAND

Quarles Petroleum is looking for a Maintenance Technician II in Maryland to join our team and help our organization grow and move into the future!

The role of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure the appearance and functionality of Quarles' 13 card-lock locations in Maryland; provide technical services for dealer and municipal fuel stations in the Maryland service area; maintain corporate image including minor clean up, painting, decal application and other assigned activities; diagnose, service and repair hoses, nozzles and other hanging hardware on fuel dispensers.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically inclined, have a clean driving record, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Job Duties

  • Evaluate facility status, address issues, and/or report issues that cannot be addressed to management
  • Routine general cleaning and trash collection for fuel pumps, islands, pavement, and equipment sheds
  • Service, maintain, and repair fuel station hanging hardware, i.e. hoses, nozzles, hanging hardware, filters, hose retrievers
  • Minor repairs to electronic equipment
  • Install signs, decals, and informational related graphics. Paint and label fuel fills
  • Respond to spill incidents, notify management and submit accurate and timely spill reports
  • Monitor and update work order status using company provided laptop
  • Coordinate maintenance and service for company assigned vehicle and equipment
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT, NFPA, OSHA, and MSHA requirements
  • Performs additional duties as needed

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to work independently while managing time and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License w/clean driving record
  • Experience with Gasboy dispensers, Petrovent card readers and Veeder-Root tank monitors is a huge plus!
